A Disney cruise costs more than most family cruises, and for a lot of families it’s worth every penny. The service is outstanding, the kids’ clubs are incredible, and the characters, shows and fireworks at sea feel like a Disney park that also does your laundry. The adults-only areas are surprisingly lovely too.

Good to know

Rotational dining: you move to a different themed restaurant each night, and your servers move with you.
Soft drinks at meals, room service and most kids’ activities are included. Alcohol, specialty dining, Wi-Fi and gratuities are extra.
Popular sailings and holiday cruises book up early, often a year or more ahead.

Castaway Cay tip

You don’t have to book an excursion to have a great day. Take the tram to the beach, find your spot and enjoy! Chairs, umbrellas and lunch are included.

Stateroom tip

Don’t book by the “sleeps four” number alone. I’ll check the actual bed layouts so everyone knows where they’re sleeping, and whether your family will be comfortable sharing that space for the whole cruise.
