Hi, I'm Trisha

I’m a full-time travel advisor with Discover the Magic Vacations, based in Missouri and planning trips for travelers all over the U.S. I’ve been doing this for 4 years, and I spend a lot of that time traveling myself.

How I got here

I’ve loved traveling for years. When my kids reached school age, I had a little more time during the day and wanted to fill it doing something I love. Helping other people plan trips grew from there, and now it’s my full-time job.

Why I travel what I sell

I sail the ships, stay at the resorts, eat the food and walk the ports, because that’s the only way to know what a place is really like. It’s how I know which cabins are noisy, which resorts are a long walk to the beach, and which excursions are worth getting up early for. It’s also why my advice sounds less like a brochure and more like a friend who’s already been.

A little redneck, a little boujee

I’m just as happy with a cold drink on a Carnival pool deck as I am with a glass of wine on a Viking veranda. That means I don’t judge your budget or your style. I just want your trip to fit you.

I’m certified with the cruise lines and resort brands I sell, including Viking and Sandals. I also regularly attend seminars, training sessions and in-person events to keep learning. The more I know about the ships and resorts, the better I can help you choose the right trip.

When I'm not traveling

I’m home in Missouri with my husband, our two kids, two cats and a dog. We love a big trip, but we’re just as happy packing up for a camping weekend. For us, it’s about getting away and spending time together.
