MSC is a European cruise line with a big and growing U.S. presence. You’ll get stylish ships, a mix of nationalities on board, great pizza and gelato, and some of the best prices at sea. It also has the Yacht Club, one of the best-kept secrets in cruising.

Maybe not for you if: you expect an all-American experience on board. Announcements come in several languages, and dinner runs on European time.
The MSC Yacht Club
A private “ship within a ship” with its own restaurant, lounge, pool deck and 24-hour butler service, plus drinks included. It’s the closest thing to a luxury cruise at a mainstream price.
The ships, in plain English
- World class (MSC World America and sister ships): the newest and biggest, with the most dining and activities. MSC World America sails from Miami.
- Meraviglia and Seaside class: big, modern ships with water parks. Many sail from U.S. ports.
- Older, smaller ships: great value, especially for short Bahamas getaways.
MSC's private island
Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas: white-sand beaches, clear water and a nightly lighthouse show. It’s a former industrial site MSC turned into a marine reserve.
Where MSC sails from in the U.S.

Tip for first-time MSC cruisers
Pay attention to the “experience” attached to your cabin: Bella, Fantastica or Aurea. Two cabins that look similar can come with very different perks and booking flexibility.
